Born Thursday December 22, 1938. Passed away Sunday July 28, 2024.
Sadly, we have lost our much loved husband, father, father-in-law and grandfather, John. He was a kind and wonderful person and we take comfort in the cherished memories and good times spent together.
Loving husband of 60 years to Pauline. Much loved father and father-in-law to Fiona and Fred, Peta and Dean, Bill and Courtney. Grampie to Max, Luke, Charlotte and Gemma.
To his many treasured friends, thank you for being part of his life.
We are grateful to the care team at Ocean Mist Aged Care Torquay, Anam Cara House Colac, and to all those that have cared for John over his last years.
Now at peace.

Get directionsA Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Mr. William "John" Maunsell will be held at the Colac Golf Club, 32 Colac-Lavers Hill Road, Elliminyt on Thursday, August 8, 2024 commencing at 2pm.
In accordance with John's wishes, a private cremation will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Anam Cara House. Envelopes will be available at the service.

I always called John, Mr.Maunsell and he was the best boss one could ask for loved my job great work place

John was a great local government friend who generously shared his knowledge and a friend to all in our industry. I will always value having known John as a wise counsel.

I was extremely fortunate working with John, albeit for a short time, but like everyone who encountered John, found him an engaging, modest and extremely competent person. The notice advising of his passing triggered a period of reflection of a time when things were
less complicated, a time when a person with Johns skill set excelled in Local Government and the community.

Condolences to Pauline & family on the passing of John. “Mauns” was a life member of the Geelong Amateur Football & Netball Club, he was a tough & well respected player, coached from 1966-1969 and won the Vic Hind Trophy in 1968. He will missed by all that knew him down at the Ammos. 💙💚
