  3. I would like to add to those familiar Irrewarra names to formally express here my Sincere Sympathies to all of the Bateson family on the passing of 'Aunty Laura' - so soon after her 100th birthday celebration. Our Post Office lady (with the lollies) - - 'Aunty Laura, Uncle Jack' & the Bateson boys were much loved & respected in our Irrewarra district. Due to Covid I had not seen Aunty Laura & Kerry for nearly 3 years. Rest peacefully Darl with Uncle Jack & your Noel. Margaret Monahan-Tanis. Buderim. Qld.

  6. A true lady who I loved and adored from when I first met her at Irrewarra at the age of 17 (now 68). The Bateson family have always been close to my heart and as with many relationships, our lives have drifted apart through time and location.
I went to a ball in Melbourne when we lived at Werribee dressed as Aunty Jack and the dress was made by Gert (our nickname for her). I still have that photo.
To all of the Bateson family (who seemed like my family for many years), please accept my deepest thoughts and best wishes for the 18th.
