Passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Mercy Place Colac.
Loved husband of Shirley (dec) for 50 years. Loved and respected father and father-in-law of Andrew, Eric and Kellie, and Lorraine. Much loved Grandpa of Hayden, Symantha and Amelie.
Reunited with mum.
Funeral notice
The Funeral of Mr. Peter Fairchild Bennett will be held at the Colac Uniting Church, cnr Hesse and Manifold Streets, Colac on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 commencing at 1:30pm.
The Funeral will leave the Church at the conclusion of the service for the Colac Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Dementia Australia. Envelopes will be available at the Church.

Our neighbour for 34 years now reunited with Shirley.
Peter quietly went about life with little fuss, a practical and resourceful man who loved the world around him that was his farm and surrounding bush
land. Being able to share this with his family was a great joy to him.
Peter’s invitation into CFA was one that was significant to our family over many years.
In later years he enjoyed walking many miles with his dog Mitzi.
Lovingly cared for by his family in recent years now resting peacefully.Love and respect,
