Rest peacefully my friend. I will miss ours chats about cars and all your knowledge on how fast a car can really go if you drive it right. I still swear you suped up that scooter! Thrilled I could be a part of one of your projects and for the hours we spent in the shed, you picking up random objects and asking “Do you know what this is Girlie?” “Well it looks like a wrench Col.” Now you have an open road with the love of your life sitting beside you as you go barrelling along in your dream car. No more speeding tickets xxx

To Colins family we send our sympathies, my father Gerald passed away 6 months ago and previous to this Colin along with 3 or 4 other men would meet up on a Thursday for a cuppa and many stories were shared amongst them all,Dad found great comfort in being able to talk about the loss of mum and this group of men were invaluable in helping him through.I’m sure they are up there now with Colin spinning him all the yarns he’s missed out on.

Sending love to Frank and Dee and Louise and families on the passing of your dad Colin .I have great memories of years of happy adventures of driving in classic cars over the years.Especially back when my husband Don was alive.,and he and Colin had chats in the shed ,then they even travelled to America to a car auction .Frank went too ,I can remember Don saying Coliin often repeated remark “Glenda said I can’t buy anything ,sigh “.I remember when Colin and Glenda joined us in Qld at t our holiday house and then we drove up to visit Gwendas Sister in Emerald ,Colin had us trying meat pies everywhere, testing to find the best .I remember when Colin scared me silly ,when we were exploring a cave that had Bats nesting.he came up behind me and tickled the top of my hair with his fingers .I screamed and Colin gave his Mr Magoo chuckle .Lovely fun memories of a great friend . Now United with his love Glenda ,and chatting about cars with my Don and all his other friends ,now gone to God.Love from Kathie ❤️👵🏻

Frank & Family, Louise & Family, Sorry to hear the passing of Colin. He has left us with plenty of memories to do with cars and his wood working skills, plenty of stories and what was the the next vehicle he was looking purchase, not so long ago I was going for a ride on my motor cycle out the Irrewillipe road and came up behind a red Mustang, sure enough it was Colin, he got to the 80km signs and floored it, all I could see was a red Mustang disappearing up the road, I say well above the speed limit.
Thanks for the memories you left us with Colin

Rest in peace Colin, it was always a pleasure catching up, whether it was at your shed to look at and chat about all your projects, or at various car shows and events. I’ll miss your dry sense of humour, but your legacy will live on through your family and the countless projects you’ve done. My thoughts are with Frank, Louise and family, and your many friends.

It is hard to believe that Colin has passed. Colin was a great fellow car club member and we enjoyed visiting Colin and Gwenda on many occasions. Gwenda was so proud of Colin’s achievements and the projects that they had completed together. Colin attended as many car club activities as he could. We know he missed his beloved Gwenda dearly and club get-togethers just weren’t the same without Gwenda by his side. Colin, you will be sorely missed at club activities, swap meets and anything that involves cars and car parts. Rest in Peace Colin and enjoy travelling the heavenly highways (but keep your speed down)!

My condolances to Frank and Louise and families on the passing of your loved father Colin. I have such fond memories of our times together growing up. Colin used to take me to skating on Friday nights as teenagers which I appreciated very much. We had a great time going down memory lane on my visits, although few since I moved to Qld. Remembered forever, Your cousin Val [Valma Stevenson] Lord and family.
