Remembering my dear Aunty Ollie and sending my deepest sympathy to my cousins and Beatrice. We were unable to be at the funeral but have watched online. I'll always remember when Dad took Shane and I fishing with him at Johanna and we were ready to go home before him, so we said we'll meet you at Uncle Geoff 's. I guess we would have been about 10 and 12. Dad smiling, said OK I'll pick you up along the road. So off we went, unbeknown to him a farmer picked us up and dropped us off at the bottom of the driveway. Aunty Olive greeted us with a smile and waited for a parent to walk in. But there was no-one. We told her what happened and she got us something to eat and a warm drink. I remember she had the washing hanging up over the wood stove and it was lovely and warm. Uncle Geoff came in and we had a great talk and when Dad finally came there was lots of laughter and jokes. Thank you for the memories over many years. Love to all. Mariya and Bob and families. XO

Condolences to all the family. Geoff was a special man and olive was just as a special lady. I remember when she was out netball coach as a kid and we won the premiership and had a party at her place at lavers hill. Both icons of the otways and will be sadly missed. Didn’t see a lot of olive in colac but fondly remembered.

Our sympathy to the Brauer family on the passing of your lovely mother Olive. It’s been a long association with her for us from her Dad teaching me in Sunday School and Olive teaching Laurie at Lavers Hill School, our family involvement with sport in the Otways, to our monthly Otway “old girls” lunches that span over thirty years…..she will be sadly missed. A life well lived.

To the Brauer family
I am so sorry to hear that Olive has passed away. She taught me at Lavers Hill Consolidated School in the early fifties and I have been having lunch with her and other Otway ladies. I always told her she was my favourite teacher. Unfortunately I won’t be able to attend her funeral because I am in the UK but I send my deepest sympathy to you all I have known you for such a long time. Regards Jenny SwainJuly 21, 2023 4:41 am

The Colac Croquet members would like to extend our deepest sympathy to Olive’s family and friends on the passing of Olive. She was a loyal, legendary and much loved life member at our club. A member for approximately 30 years and has been fully engaged in club management, playing and teaching croquet and creating a sense of fun at the club. She has served as president, secretary and captain-(and more) during this time. Her smiling face, generosity and encouraging nature to share skills and wisdom, laughter and tears will be greatly missed.

Ma Olive
In the relatively short time we knew each other we formed a beautiful bond full of love, cheekiness and fun.
I will miss our chats, your stories of life on the Ridge and your kids. I also will miss your smile, cheeky grin and that pointed finger telling me to behave.
You are an amazing woman full of generosity and love and a wonderful caring nature.
I will miss you immeasurably and will always remember you and think of you. Rest assured I will be there for Ros and the family.
Love you Ma forever.July 19, 2023 5:20 pm

Dear Olive
You were the best neighbour anyone could ask for
Who’s going to keep me updated on the comings and goings of our street now .?
Who’s going to care for my house when I’m away ?
Who’s going to stand at the fence and have long chats with Hubby when he should be cleaning the pool
There are so many memories we will hold very dear to us.
Rest peacefully with Geoff now you have earned it
You weren’t just a neighbour were like a second Mum.
We will miss you dearly.
Deepest sympathies to all your loving family
