CARMICHAEL John (John Boy):
Can’t imagine life without you. A wise textbook of knowledge, master of dry one-liners, epitome of a person wearing a wry smile and, above all, welcoming, no-nonsense, hospitable, generous and loyal friend. You’ve left us with enough cherished memories to last a lifetime. Thanks for your love and friendship. Bronwyn, Harry, Will, Oli and Ed. X
As my 2years old named you Boy John so Boy John your loss is deeply hurtful and sad, of course nothing compare to your inconsolable Gramp so my heart goes out to you Simone, both of you have handled it with dignity and integrity.
There is no word to explain the loss and emptiness but i will always remember you for your sense of humour, quirkiness, memories over the years like crashing the trailer into the balcony when you helped me move and taking out your side mirror at the gate as you were moving out i cant help myself but to laugh and you still had quirky smile on your face..
I am so lucky and thank you for being apart of my life for the last two decades and your love and support when i needed the most. You taught me how to live honest, simple and no nonsense life and of course to ditch the crap beer and drink the right one, that goes out to you both.

John – a good friend from times ago, a great sense of humour and wonderful laugh, generous, perceptive, an incisive mind. Memories of conversations about the deeply philosophical and the trivial, memories of bikes and beers. I’m so grateful you got in touch and we had a chance to catch up, I miss you now. Condolences to Simone, to Alice, to family and close friends.
John was Ron’s best mate in the 70’s and 80’s and a friend to me. Though he and Ron had limited contact since then, the times they shared were valued. We are saddened to hear of his passing, yet happy to know that he was supported by people who loved him. Deepest condolences to his family and nearest and dearest. Rest in peace John.
