Laid to rest in a lovely country location alongside bookmakers, publicans and women of distinction.
His final words were: “You gave me the greatest gift of all “Amoris Laetitia” – “the joy of love” on a wonderful adventure.”

As per family wishes, a private burial has been held.

What an amazing man you were Earl. From the moment you moved to Colac we had a great connection. You were such a gentleman. People in Colac thought Sean Connery , the old actor had moved here. I remember two girls stopping you in the street & asking for your autograph. I loved our conversations & our banter. One of the loveliest men I had ever met. My condolences go out to his wife & all the extended families. What an amazing life you lived Earl. So long my friend. Hopefully a tennis racquet in hand. 🥲
