Passed away peacefully at the beautiful Anam Cara House, Colac on January 18, 2023 aged 87 years.
Seventh child of Jim and Emma. Cherished and dearly loved husband of Margaret (Shaw). Treasured father and father-in-law of Barry (jnr) and Amanda, Mark (dec), Suzie, Tania, Bron and Chris. A loving Pa to Reannen, Imogen, Gemma, Lucas, Stella and Harrison.
Funeral notice
Monday January 30, 2023
The Funeral of Mr. Barry George Castle will be held at the Colac Uniting Church, cnr Hesse and Manifold Streets, Colac onΒ Monday, January 30, 2023 commencing at 1pm.
The Funeral will leave the Church at the conclusion of the service for the Colac Lawn Cemetery.

Dear Margie and children and grandchildren- my deepest and heartfelt condolences with the passing of dear Barry.
Together with my family I was invited to this loving family, who treated us like their own. Barry who was always there to offer you food and advice accompanied with lots of Aussie jokes which most of them went right over my head. That made him laugh even more.
Thank you for the enjoyment, the jokes and the sincere support throughout our lives. Rest in peace dear Barry.

Hold dear all the lovely memories you have of a lovely man, even if he was the biggest stirrer.
He loved you all so much.
We will miss him telling us what to do in the garden, and more so his friendship and love he extended to us.

Sending deepest condolences with the passing of an amazing human. My sisters and I were so lucky to have a second set of grandparents and cousin (reannen) growing up. I remember playing dress ups in you're meticulously curated backyard with colourful scented roses, the holiday caravan in St. Leonards and many more. There was always so much warmth and love in your home, Barry had such beautiful smile and wonderful sense of humour. Lucky to have those memories to cherish, see you in the next life. Lots of love x

so many memories...even before i /we didn't know you would always be a memory....Barry Castle...we would drive to camperdown...as kids...and dad would toot going past your farm...your car was parked in our garage/beside leahy's yard.,....it was light gbreen...and for m,y dad it was very 'special'.....fare3well Barry...we will never forget you nor your famil;y....RIP

Barry was our neighbour in the rises, so have known him all my life. A lovely gentle man who will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Hopefully he is sitting up there talking to Mum.
