  16. Deepest sympathy to the Connor family. Dr Connor remains the best doctor I’ve ever seen – through the mundane and traumatic, he always treated us with respect, taking the time to explain options and decisions, allowing me to be involved in my own healthcare and answering my 101 questions without any impatience or annoyance. An absolutely excellent doctor and human – you raised the bar far too high.

  17. To Dear Denise and your Family.
Our lives and friendship has crossed many times over the years.
I babysat your older children in Beeac, before you moved to Colac. Then later Michael delivered 3 of my children. Two of which were born close to two of yours. As parents of kindergarten and school age children, on committees and canteen duty, together.
Michael was our family Doctor, to my family and also to my parents Rose and Joe Reilly (both dec).
I always felt cared for and respected by Michael and am extremely grateful for his knowledge, experience and friendship.
My love and sympathy to you all.

  18. It was with great sadness and a heavy heart to see Michael’s name amongst the latest tributes listed whilst we are away in WA.
My deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences are extended to you dear Denise and your extended family.
Michael was much more than a highly respected Dr to my parents Ivy and Charlie Parker (now both dec’d). He became a very close friend and such a great mentor to my Mum as he managed the many hard and demanding difficult times that surrounded my Dad’s bipolar disorder episodes over many years. I am ever grateful to have known you and with a very thankful but very saddened heart, I wish you farewell my friend whom is finally now at rest and free of any more suffering. Great memories of Denise’s stall at Lions Club Markets with you constantly chatting with me directly opposite, selling ‘Beanies4Bipolar’. Your bagpipes will ring in my ears and heart forever with fondest memories. RIP Michael.

  24. Have just hear of the passing of Micheal. Although I do not know his family we had many happy times together when young up in Kaniva and Ice skated occasionally at St.Moritz when we were older. My Dad went to your wedding and was then late getting back home to give me away later the same day, A lovely man who made a difference in so many lives. He came to Melbourne with us on the train and went to the 1956 Olympic games with us and was allowed to swing on my aunts clothes line as he had suffered travelsickness on the trip down to cheer him up – I want not allowed which ticked me off no end. His Dad gave us a horse which nearly killed me – we did not know he had been banned for nasty behaviours during races. We also rode a pony around the backyard of the doctors place when his father practiced in Kaniva. God Bless and know he was a special man remembered with a smile.
