Funeral Notice

Service: Monday December 6, 2021

The Funeral of Mr. Simon “Sam” Coulson will be held at St Cuthbert’s Uniting Church, Mountjoy Parade, Lorne on Monday, December 6, 2021 commencing at 1pm.

The Funeral will leave the Church at the conclusion of the service for the Lorne Cemetery.

If you are wishing to attend, please allow yourself enough time to check-in and to show our staff your valid proof of vaccination.

  1. Sam, although i have known you for a short time it feels though that i have known you all my life. You have been a good friend and whenever i am in Lorne i look forward to meeting you and have dinner together. Your passion and consideration for others have always been admired. RIP my friend. My deepest sympathy to Ingrid and family.

  2. Had the fortune to know Sam and work with him over many years at the Ford Research Centre in Geelong and Broadmeadows. A beautiful person with a great sense of humour. He was a talented engineer liked by all that knew him. We shared many trips to and from Geelong to the research centre with a great bunch from the trim shop, Colour and trim group. Royston Bell, Graham Hemley and Don Thomson. Top bloke was Sam, Rest In Peace mate.

    My thoughts are with Ingrid at this time and his love and devotion to her throughout their life together.

  4. Sam was an exemplary leader in the Ford Engineering Team. He lived life with courage, honesty and dignity which will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to share his journey.

  6. Sam – thanks for the regular chats in our driveway on your return journey home as you walked Teddy each morning. Sam was an absolute sharing, and caring gentleman with a good sense of humor who approached death with integrity- I am sad to hear of your passing and having missed the opportunity to attend your fairwell.
    Lorne has lost another wonderful person – condolences to Ingrid and the extended family.
