Passed away peacefully surrounded by family, aged 86.
Loved husband of Nellie (dec). Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Mary and Ron, Kate and Jim, John and Chris, Greg and Pam, Laurie, Liz and Norm, Marg and John, Shane, Anthony and Bronnie, Stephen and Chris.
Friend to Jenny and Dorothy (dec). Pa to many Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren.

Reunited with Mum.

Service: Friday June 5, 2020

I was so very sad when i opened the paper today…Mr Drayton….I will miss your bright smile…you always stopped for a chat….I am truly sorry to see that you have passed…all my love to family and friends, especially Mary, who i went to school with…..one of the very best, reunited with Nellie…RIP Lloyd….Catherine

  4. Was hoping this day would never come. Yet it arrived earlier than expected and now we are heartbroken.
    Still trying to come to terms with the fact that we will never see you again. Lake purrumbete will never be the same yet we will go there to remember and reminisce.
    Your guidance and love will never be forgotten. We will remember the good times and cherish all the memories created over a lifetime.
    We miss you terribly but will remember you always.
    Say Hi to Mum and give her a hug from all of us.

  8. Rest In Peace Uncle, I can only echo Paul’s words, it was always a wonderful easy way that you had about you, my sincere condolences to Mary, Kate, John, Greg, Laurie, Liz, Marg, Shane, Anthony, Stephen and their spouses & families.
    It seemed to me that what should have been a house of chaos, Peace always reigned – there was no doubt of the wonderful relationship between husband & wife – and the warmth & respect it generated – Thank you Uncle.
    Like Paul, I can see them all there now, just waiting for the next dance.

  17. Even after all these years, the happy feelings of going to visit Uncle Lloyd and Aunty Nellie and all the kids when I was a young kid, still resonates in me.
    My sympathies to all you kids. Tho we have all grown up now and gone our own ways, I hold the memory of Uncle Lloyd with warm effect ion, I am so sorry for your loss.
