You were like a second father to us and we will be forever grateful for the trust and love you shared with us! We will miss you phone calls and messages but mostly seeing you on our visits and you stirring us up about everything, especially for ‘not visiting sooner’ even if we’re only been down a week prior! You impacted our lives so much and we will NEVER forget you or take for granted the relationship we shared.

  7. At first I was lost for words at your passing but you’ve been taken way to early bud condolences Belinda and your family. We first met at the colac tech, we knew each other and that was about it, no special friendship. But our paths crossed about 30 years later and in these past 5 years we got to no each others family over a few beers and that is what Angie and I will remember. You were always happy to welcome anyone to have a chat. So my friend we wish you farewell until we meet again.
RIP Matt may peace be with you.

  11. Matty , Matty, Matty , one of a kind . Before I had the chance to meet you ,I felt I already knew you through my two eldest kids , Nicholas and Jessica . You took Nicholas in when times were tough with him and I ,you gave him a home and a man to look up too. Jessica only ever had good things to say about you ,as she was lucky enough to be best mates with your amazing son Josh. The teenagers loved getting together at your home , their home away from home and knowing that they were safe. Finally through my third son Riley I got to met the legend himself, kind, caring ,loyal , non judgemental, welcoming , funny , shit stirrer plus , hard working , great DAD and GRANDFATHER. Loved his family to no end . Many a great memory had with you Matty from us all , even the youngest Jimmy. Your generosity and beautiful smile and soul will always hold a special part in our hearts and thoughts. Love to all your family. Free to fly high tosser love Jo and crew.
