Funeral notice
Requiem Mass for the repose of the soul of Mr. Thomas James Evans will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Gellibrand Street, Colac on Thursday, June 25, 2026 commencing at 1:30pm.
The Funeral will leave the Church at the conclusion of Mass for the Colac Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Anam Cara House. Envelopes will be available at the Church.

I was sad to hear about the passing of Uncle Tommy.

My apologies for not being at the funeral as I am in Darwin at the moment, but am there in sprit.
He was a man I admired for his no nonsense approach to life, work ethic and love of family.

Another great man has gone from us leaving sad hearts behind.
Bob first encountered Tom when he worked with Telstra and Tom on the shire, after that it was through GOLF when he struck up a longtime friendship with Tom and a lot of others (Jim Hebbard, Doug Wilson, John Reidy, Bryan Grenfell and Ron Scandlero and many others). They all joined the Corangamite Vet's and travelled by bus to the different golf courses throughout Corangamite with Jimbo the driver and when Jimbo was too sick to drive Tommy took over the wheel.
Bob and Tommy have been great friends through golf and later the wives met up, and we all got on great throughout the Vets golf days at Colac and helping with the Barb B Cue etc on the day
It was a sad day when Tommy couldn't play golf anymore, but Bob kept in touch with him and Helen always kept us up to date as he got to sick.
Thank you, Helen, for contacting us to say that Tommy was being placed in Anna Cara House and we were able to visit him last Tuesday.
Our deepest sympathy to all the Evan's Family on the loss of Tommy.Keep those golf clubs swinging Tommy and we will catch you at the Top Golf Club

My sincerest condolences to Marg, Sharon, Helen and family on the passing of uncle Tom. I am very happy I had the opportunity to spend time with Tom and has family last Thursday and be able to share some of the mostly funny stories from the past and times we spent together. Unfortunately I will not be able to make it on Thursday as I am away but I know the day, while sad, will be the celebration of a great life. Uncle Tom’s memories will live on.
