  1. To my darling Adrian,
    never forgotten.
    love always,
    Faith.

    Do not stand at my grave and weep.
    I am not there; I do not sleep.
    I am a thousand winds that blow.
    I am the diamond glints on snow.
    I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
    I am the gentle autumn rain.
    When you awaken in the morning’s hush
    I am the swift uplifting rush
    Of quiet birds in circled flight.
    I am the soft star that shines at night.
    Do not stand at my grave and cry;
    I am not there; I did not die

  2. Sadly the Magpies have lost their biggest supporter, an amazing man with a heart of gold…. A man who rarely lost an argument and stood firm in his convictions, wasn’t afraid to call a spade a spade and there was no sugar coating, Misunderstood by those who didn’t really know him – but he couldn’t care less because those that were privelidged enough to really know him knew better ????, Passionate supporter of his beloved magpies and just as equally a disdain for the umpires (bunch of bloody gooses who wouldn’t know the right end of the whistle even if it blew itself) – especially if the Maggies were losing…. animal advocate and lover – especially for his beautiful blueys who were his babies, aptly named Yahoo and Banjo…. Adrian, or as I call him ‘Feathers’, would go to bat for anyone he felt was being treated incorrectly, unjustly or not according to the rules or procedures… If Feathers was in your corner it was a strong winning corner….

    A daily sounding board and confidant during my years at the Depot, keeper of secrets and sarcastic as all hell with an annoying half smile that screamed ‘I told you so’….. Would do anything for those he called friends or family…is sadly missed…. Forever in our hearts ….. Sorry we never made it to the great ocean road…. RIP Feathers, no longer in pain… Xxxx Melanie

  3. Adrian….. An honest straight to the point fella who never failed to make you laugh…. They say a day without laughter is a day wasted, well working alongside Adrian and living with him in Alice Springs no day was wasted…. Highly organised and a memory like an elephant, what you see is what you get and if you don’t like what you see keep moving… As long as he had his dogs yahoo and banjo, his computer, a cup of coffe, his magpies and his family all was right in the world… If you were a friend of Adrian’s you were his family, he’d do anything for you and for me personally he was a motivator and a mentor, I am eternally grateful for the time spent with Adrian – both personally and professionally, in the depot and out in remote communities on satellite runs… The world has lost one of its best… RIP Adrian

  4. Adrian….I met you via my late husband and Telstra. You were the first person we met at Yulara, NT. You met us at the airport and gave us a guided tour of Uluru and Yulara. Showed us our humble abode for the next few years. Over the next few years you became more than a work colleague to Boband myself, you became a great friend. Eventually you retired and Bob and I had the privilege of buying your Alice Springs home. Sadly we never made it to Victoria to see your new home or to meet Banjo. Seeing your face at Bob’s funeral meant a lot to me and helping me with a few things as well. Thankyou for being the great friend you became. RIP Friend, I will miss you.
