Devoted husband of Val (dec). Loved and loving father and father in law of Julie, Gary & Sue, Peter, Leigh & Debbie. Very proud Pop to his 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

We have a horse we want to call " Juliefinch" BUT Trev( my husband) says I need to check with you to see if it's okay to do so. You have been a follower of our horses for so long I thought it a fitting tribute to name a horse after you BUT Trev wants to make sure you're okay with it incase the horse is no good and runs last. What a lot of memories. Camping with Bob & family and friends, especially the Golf day; Cup of tea with the Man of the house every week, even though I was offered last weeks tea bag Bob's words but not true; and memories of a wonderful mentor to many young footballers and cricketer's.

To Jules, Gary, Peter, Leigh, as well as Matt, Jason, Aaron and Jess, and all the Finch family, please accept my sincere condolences.
Bob was such a wonderful man and a great mentor to all us Oates kids.
While he was always there to support his grandkids in all their sporting endeavours, he also devoted so much time to helping other kids, including us.
I will be forever grateful for the guidance he provided me down at Colac West CC and the life lessons he taught me at such a young age.
Bob, you leave a whole that will never filled.
