From when I first met you and I was so young as our houses were opposite each other in Marengo , visiting each other as and you coming over to see Robert ( Bobby) , then as adults as our daughters went to school. 65. My beautiful friend Crasha, my partner in crime, we were the two Leanne’s (double trouble), first we Rock’d and then we Crash’d. You were more than my best friend, you were my soul sister and now part of me is missing. Good friend’s are hard to find and you were the best friend anyone could ask for. I am so grateful that you were such a big part of my life, thank you for everything.
Forty four years of great times, and the laughter, so often we’d laugh until we cried and begged each other to stop because it hurt and then we’d laugh again because we had forgotten what we were laughing about, which was hilarious to us. Crasha you had the knack of bringing joy and laughter to me when I was down, you were such an uplifting soul, you taught me that you can find humour in all situations and it’s healing.
I loved the way you were able to make everyone feel special with your big caring heart. My whole family adored you as part of the family. You were a breath of fresh air who always lit up the room. I always had a laugh watching you enjoy a cheeky banter with anyone and everyone who would take you on and they’d always leave chuckling.
We laughed, we cried, you were always there for me, we partied, and of all the precious memories that I treasure, it will be the joy you brought to everyone, and it was joy, fun and laughter that made you tick and it was infectious.
I’ll never forget you Crasha, it hurts so much to lose you but you were Born to be Wild mate and now your flying high with the Angels, as an Angel. Love you mate it’s not good bye but see ya later.
Sending huge hugs and love to: Dale, Justin, Chris, Lisa, Michelle, Nicholas and families, to Al and Fiona and to all the many many friends that loved this amazing woman.
Love always your friend Roc ❤️❤️❤️❤️ ❤️❤️❤️❤️

  82. I met Leanne when I started secondary school at the Colac High, we were classmates in 1A. As we both stayed in the Colac area we “crashed” into each other occasionally and enjoyed a chat. I was saddened to hear of Leanne’s passing and send my Deepest Sympathy to all of her family and friends. Every tribute written remembers a beautiful soul, RIP Leanne xx

  85. “Leanne”
It’s hard to put into words the sadness and loss of a beautiful soul who was taken from the world suddenly.
I wish to express some thoughts on the friendship that came in place when school holidays came around and the Colac clan would descend on Apollo Bay Marengo at their holiday villa , where the family would make you feel welcome and part of the Colac clan.
We would walk the beach of Mounts Bay overlooking the Henty reef , clamber over the rocky shoreline in search of shells and small tropical fish. We would use small dip nets to recover these fish and put them in a bucket of sea water. I am not sure, but there was always some competition as to whom had the most and/or the biggest fish, either way it was great summer time fun.
When it was time for the Colac clan to pack up and go home, Marengo went back to the same faces of the local boys and girls.
The friendships I guess became somewhat different once we got OLDER and families increased. Well, Leanne did very well in that department with children, Chris, Justin, Lisa, Michelle and Nick…which now brings me to the next chapter……
They lived in the back streets of Apollo Bay and I recall being asked if I would baby sit these five as Dale & Leanne were going on a hot date in a grey or light blue van ?
I thought ..”SHIT , this really isnt me !!”, however there were only five and I recall I had a splurge of discipline as soon as Dale & Leanne were out of the driveway. The house door was shut and I said to the kids ..”this is how it’s gonna be !”
Well , rest assured , they had already planned their moves and I got pushed to the couch and from memory I had absolutely NO control over these kids. I was lucky to not end up in hospital and eventually Leanne & Dale returned home to save me!. I couldnt get away from the kids quick enough , but as you can see they have all turned out to be beautiful young adults.
Our friendship continued and recently Leanne & Dale flew into Tasmania, where I am currently living. I knew they were coming, but their plans turned to shit , the big jet wasn’t leaving Melbourne and Dale was in a flap and Leanne called to see if I could drive and pick them up from Wynard, well not a problem.
I could hear Dale carrying on in the background , something about the pilot and air hostess and eventually their flight arrived near midnight and I was to bring “refreshments” that clearly weren’t served on the flight. We all jumped in the Toyota to get out of the carpark and their is a boom gate requiring a ticket to open the bloody thing , which in a short space of time I had lost the ticket!!
Well, the cars were banking up behind me in BIG numbers as we all were frantically seraching for this ticket. Well , on the machine there was a button , and Leanne said to push it and sure enough this machine started to talk and all of a sudden, shit , up went the boom gate and off we all went. Over the next couple of days we had the best time, laughing and talking and going to dinner…it was bloody FANTASTIC.
A short time later after the holiday , Dale called me with the news that Leanne wasn’t too good.
I have great and very fond memories of many, many days that I spent with Leanne, Dale and the children.
To say that Leanne will be missed is an understatement, and from tomorrow on, there will be a bright star looking down upon us all as we continue to fathom over the coming weeks, months and years, the sadness and loss of a wonderful, beautiful and caring soul.
Rest in God’s care Leanne, as one day we all shall meet again.

    RIP ..Harry
