Passed away suddenly and peacefully in Hervey Bay, QLD, on September 5, 2025 surrounded by his family.
Loved and cherished husband of Eva. Loved and adored father and father-in-law of Janet and Noel, Darren and Wendy. Pa to Andrew and Bec and Emily. Great Pup Pa of Kyan and Regan. Son of Hurtle and Ivy Hay (both dec.) Eldest brother of Peter and Robert.

Funeral notice
The Funeral of Mr. Eric John Hay will be held at the Colac Lake Bowling Club, 35 Moore Street, Colac on Friday, September 19, 2025 commencing at 1:30pm.
The Funeral will leave the Bowls Club at the conclusion of the service for the Colac Lawn Cemetery.

Eric, We lived together like brothers for quite a few years. Attended the Ondit school from "The Pines". Had a kick of the footy at lunchtime if someone brought one to school, the little kids played against the big kids (guess who won). If ever you managed to get the footy you became Bill Twomey Jr. (Collingwood legend) and it was look out as you headed for the goals.
We went to school together, sometimes three on the one bike, you, me and younger brother Peter or when you and I stopped at "Derrimut" Ray Olney driving the CDC truck would make sure he could time it right and pick us up at the gate and drop us off at the Ondit school, that was when your mum brought home little Peter from hospital.
Eva, you know what the younger days were all about, my love and thoughts are with you and your families.
