  1. We will miss you Uncle Jim.
Will always remember the fun times we had, and your happy laconic smile … and will reminisce with Aunty Ann and family often. Love from Aud and George xx

  2. I first met Jim 52 years ago when I went to work on a Grader at the Colac shire.
We hit it off straight away and became good friends.
My wife Lin and I spent so many good times with Jim and Ann and their kids in those early days and spent several Xmas holidays in that Army tent at Skenes creek.
There are so many fond memories from Appolo bay and Colac with time spent fishing and talking and watching the children grow and intermingling with my two boys.
I will forever be grateful for Jim and Anns friendship to both myself and my wife Lin and I can still picture Jim sitting in his Dehaviland toppercraft as we cut through the gap in the Henty reef.
Later on it was in his Quintrex and a better seaman I have never met.
Way before fishfinders came on the scene Jim would sight his marks on land and put us right on the spot for flathead or snapper and never miss the mark.
A true friend and a true family man, I will never forget him as long as I live.
