Tributes
Dad
I shall always treasure your authenticity and total honesty as a person. You spoke from the heart …a big and generous heart it was too. You were a ‘good honest bloke’ who saw the best in everyone and were always there to help out anyone in need. You have quietly and humbly spent much of your life doing your bit easing the struggles of those facing hard times: RSL Veterans, loners, those down on their luck. In community you were loved and respected by so many … and your strong loyalty to family was always with us. We know how deeply you loved us.
Dad I’ll always love you and be proud of you. Forever missed.

Dad.
You brought us up to care about people, to treat every human equally as a fellow traveller in life; no matter their social standing, you acknowledged everyone you met, and shared a joke and a yarn. You understood we all at times fail and struggle and you responded to your family and all you met with care, generosity of action and time. You taught us to value our friends, to share a welcome, to relax with a beer. And your enjoyment of a bit of fun with the lads led to many an adventure. As our dad you were always a calming presence there for us when the chips were down no matter what we did.
Will never forget your blue eyes, your face alight in a welcoming smile, your hand lifted in acknowledgement ..... thanks for the blessing and bless you, dad.

To Dad
I will always hold you in my heart. You taught me to be a good person. You did not judge people and always helped others. You bought groceries including cigarettes for a single Mum in need who we barely knew. You just paid the bill and asked for nothing in return. You collected clothes for a child who did not have any and treated everyone as a person worthy of respect. For that I thank you. Dad we all knew you had our backs and there was nothing you would not do to help us . Life is difficult and we are not perfect but we are stronger and braver when we have the unconditional love of our Dad.
Love you forever, Love you for always , as long as I'm living my father you'll be.
