Funeral notice
Tuesday August 20, 2024
The Funeral of Mrs. Annie “Jeanie” Kelly will be held at the Colac Lake Bowling Club, Armstrong Street, Colac on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 commencing at 11am.
The Funeral will leave the Bowling Club at the conclusion of the service for the Colac Lawn Cemetery.

So sad to hear of Jeanie's death. She was such a happy person. Jeanie made me so welcome when Chris & I came to Colac in the '80s. She welcomed me into the Colac Badminton club and and I had many happy memories there. When I joined the Colac Bowling Club she was a player then a spectator- always lending support.

To Jeannie’s family,
You have lost a treasure. My friendship with her goes back to our teenage years so have lots of memories. Catching up again as we played bowl’s together at the lake club and watched on Tuesdays has been wonderful .

Deepest Sympathy & love goes to Peta Maree , Brendan , Kate Elli & Jake at the sad passing of truely one of the BEST , you were a great friend to my Mum and shared a lot of happy memories living in Pitt Street and you in Murray Street . You and Mum were the foundation members that started the Colac Badminton Club at the Show Grounds which continues today and then onto playing bowls .I grew up as a child knowing Jeanie at Colac East and you were always there at the Colac Bowling Club supporting us with words of encouragement. You were the first one to say well done Glenn great game. You will be sadly missed by all. Rest Easy Jeanie . You were simply the Best.

Our deepest sympathies to all of Jeanies family, wonderful memories of our Badminton days. Have wonderful memories of her time on “Price is Right”, what a wonderful day, then at lawn bowls unfortunately I was unfortunate not to play many Games with Jeanie, but I did appreciate her encouragement and support when she retired from bowls and was at our club for home games. Here love of flowers particular sweet peas, it was always a delight for me to give here many bunches during their flowering. I am sad I will be unable to attend Jeanie’s service but our thoughts are with you all at this sad time.

The Colac Lake Bowling Club has lost one of their most loyal supporters, post her playing days she was a regular "up behind the glass" on pennant days . She had her favourite players but was always there supporting whoever played for the club , we were all guilty of glancing up to see if Jeanie was there and she always had a word of support when passing . Our thanks to the family for getting her there in later years , she will always be watching over us. now just a little higher up.
