On September 16th, 2016 aged 93 years. Loving wife of Bill (dec).  Special mother of Yvonne, Kevin and Steven and mother in law of Richard, Wendy, Yanti and Patricia. Treasured Nan of all her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

The Funeral of Mrs Doris Lawson will be held in the Chapel at Wesley Place, 15 Skene Street, Colac on Wednesday  September 21st, 2016 commencing at 2:00 p.m.

The Funeral will leave the Chapel at the conclusion of the service for the Colac Lawn Cemetery.

    Dorrie was a dear friend and neighbour of my late mum Lorna Thornton ,and she worked many hours putting together our family history. RIP

  4. We regret the passing of Dorrie Lawson, a founding member of the Colac & District Family History Group who worked tirelessly with the group since its inception in 1981.
    Over the years Dorrie has shared her knowledge and expertise and helped countless people with their family history research and compiled numerous research folders covering many topics of interest. They are shelved in what is affectionately known as “Dorrie’s Corner”.
    She has been a friend, inspiration and mentor to many members of the group.
    Dorrie will be sadly missed but her legacy will live on.
