  2. Wes was a caring and giving man who gave unstintingly of himself. He left this world a better place for his being here. John and I treasured and valued his friendship and, like everyone who knew and loved Wes, I will miss him dearly. Wendy and all the family have my deepest sympathy, Norma Bakker

  3. Wes (Nugget) always gave assistance in his local community to kids playing sports, to the bowling club and the local footy club. Over the past few years with health issues the local community rallied to help him get to Geelong for treatment. He used to love coming up to watch The Cats play at Kardinia Park when I could get him a seat.

  4. Back in 1991 Wes and Wendy opened their home to be my host family, their kindess and care has touched me and turned me forever a changed person.

My condolences to learn about this news. Despite the distance and time, I would like to send my deepest sympathy about this sad news. I pray that one day I could be able to go back and visit Birregura and meet Mrs Wendy Leersen again.
