Les and our parents, Brad and Eveline Hayes, were close friends for so many years and Les has always been a part of our lives. We will miss him dreadfully, as will all those who had the good fortune to know and love such a caring, generous soul.
His stories always made us laugh and it is those times that we will remember when we think of him.

A Big Man, not in statue, Big in Heart. A Man of the land, a cattleman, a good and decent brother. You knew every inch of all the farms, every cow and every gate post. There was no challenge on the farm you could not fix. You tamed the 17.2hands thoroughbred stallion, you reconditioned the diesel engine in the red truck without any formal training, you rebuilt the 8meter west wall on the hay shed single handed. You never sought recognition for what you achieved. Humility was always one of your strongest characteristic traits.
Most of all when one needed a friend you were on the doorstep.
Big Brother to Chris, brother in law to Trish & Kathleen, loving uncle to Sara, Cameron & Emma, Amanda & Justin -
