Born Monday May 18, 1959. Passed away Wednesday July 23, 2025.
Son of Jack and Eily Mahoney (both dec). Brother of Brian (dec), Graham, Pam, Helen, Leanne, Kevin (dec), John and twin brother David.
Father of Jeron, Rohanna, Ryland and Khalen. Father-in-law of Lewis and Rachel. Grandfather of Wylie and Mazie. Friend of Julie and Emma.
Passed away at the Colac Hospital surrounded by family after battling MND.
Funeral notice
The Funeral of Mr. Peter Joseph Mahoney will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Gellibrand Street, Colac on Friday, August 1, 2025 with prayers commencing at 1pm.
The Funeral will leave the Church at the conclusion of the service for the Colac Lawn Cemetery.
For those who are unable to attend, CLICK HERE to view the livestream.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to MND Australia. Envelopes will be available at the Church.

I take my hat off to you and all your family peter ,it was a pleasure and a privilege to care for u ,I'll miss our midnight chats and remember u always as Peety the unbelievable.To the boys ,Rohanna and thier family's hold your heads high you have done your dad proud with your dedication to his care to the very end ,it was a privilege to know all of you rest peacefully Pete.

Peter was a true knockabout sort of Aussie bloke. Fun, friendly, hard working, and fiercely proud of his extended family.
Fond memories of cricket games at Jennings St at Christmas time.
Resting peacefully now, free of MND, with his dearly departed loved ones.

It breaks my heart to learn of Peter’s passing. Such a great man, who always greeted me with a big smile and a friendly chat. Deepest sympathy to his family who were such amazing support throughout his MND journey.
