Born October 11, 1927 at Subiaco WA. Passed away on December 6, 2021 aged 94.
Beloved husband of Patricia. Proud father and father in-law of Michael and Nadine, Sheryl and Joe (dec.), Yvonne and Graeme, Christopher and Simone. Loved Grandfather “Poppy” of Matthew, Tracey, Jonathan, Tania, Kayla, Lauren, Maddison and Samuel. Step Grandfather of Emily and Luke. Great-Grandfather of 11.
Rodney served in the Australian Defence Force from 19th March 1956 and retired after 30 years of service on 18th March 1986 reaching Warrant Officer Class 1. He served in the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1970. Rodney was an avid golfer having achieved 5 holes in one on the 18th hole at the Redland Bay Gold Club in Queensland. He continued playing golf with Ocean Grove Golf Club into his eighties.
Funeral Notice
Service: Tuesday December 14, 2021The Funeral of Mr. Rodney Stewart Markham will be held in the Chapel at Wesley Place, 15 Skene Street, Colac on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 commencing at 1.30 p.m.
In accordance with family wishes a private cremation will be held.
For those who are unable to attend, the funeral will be live-streamed.
If you are wishing to attend, please allow yourself enough time to check-in and to show our staff your valid proof of vaccination.

Pop was an effortlessly endearing character. A gentlemanly juxtaposition between a reserved, thoughtful man and a tongue-in-cheek jokester; A paragon of generosity and love.
