Passed away peacefully. Loving partner of Helen. Loved father and father in law of Simon and Imi, Kate (dec) and Linda. Pa of Eddy and Luna. Loved brother of Coral, Bruce, Judy and Lorraine. Will be greatly missed by his fur baby, Bomber.
Always loved and forever missed.
Funeral Notice
Service: Monday May 17, 2021A Memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr Rex McGowan will be held in the Chapel at Wesley Place, 15 Skene Street Colac, on Monday, 17th May 2021, commencing at 2.30 pm.
In accordance with family wishes Rex will be privately buried.

I have been a friend of Rex for over 30 years. He was a founding member of the Brucknell Economic Development Corporation. He often won the “ Entrepreneur of the Year”award for his current money making schemes, sometimes referred to as “scams”. He was very versatile and capable of doing anything be it managing a large Dairy enterprise, setting up “Stow Bags” to fixing up old pianos.
He introduced me to motor bike riding, selling me my first 250cc bike and later buying it back (at a much reduced price). Fond, but scary (for me) memories of a motor bike ride with Rex and other speed freaks to the Grampians.
His courage and even humour in facing his last health challenge was to me inspirational.
Commiserations to Helen, Wendy, Simon & Linda -
Will miss our too far apart catch ups, swapping yarns of travel and motorcycles. What a great, easy to talk to bloke you are. RIP cousin Rex and condolances to all.
