Sadly, our dearly loved husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully on Monday, 6th October 2025, surrounded by his loved and loving family.
Beloved husband to Denise for 56 years. Cherished father to Jane and son in law Timothy Fleming (NZ); and Christopher and his partner Maria Grace. Adored Grandad Macca to Lachlan, Sean, and Claire (NZ); Papa to Tara and Chloe; and Marcus.
Son of AK McKenzie and Edna (both dec) and loved brother to John, sister-in-law Liz and adored sister Kate.
Known for his sharp sense of humour and unforgettable one liners, David is now peacefully at rest.

Happy memories of David, of trips to Elliminyt and barista coffee at breakfast time. Such a quick witted and funny man. David, you were a true gentleman, always struggling to get my case out of the car, even when you shouldn't!

Dear Denise, Jane, Chris and all the family. We are thinking of you all at this time. David was a wonderfully kind and gentle man who just enjoyed life, particularly those fishing trips. We are reflecting on so many things we will miss. A David made coffee, sharing a red wine or two, BBQ’s, his legendary roast pork and Christmas coconut prawns. We will so miss the sharing of a joke. David’s fight to the end was brave and you did such a good job supporting him through these last years. May he rest in peace, forever fishing.
