  12. Vinny, we have been mates/friends for over 60 years, so this doesn't seem real. You were my best man and Jackie's godfather, and I was at your wedding to your only love, Jeanette. We had some great times in our young and silly days, you in your blue VW, me in my Bedford ute, our trips away with the Colac fire brigade, as well as all the other things we got up to. Thank heavens there were no mobile phone photos then. You, as a baker me a bricklayer, how did we both end up as truck drivers? What am I going to do with the many hours we spent talking on the phone, usually up to 3 hours at a time, had to make sure the phone was fully charged, on my trips to visit you insisted on collecting me from the airport, we talked all the way back to Colac, and continued well into the night, to only continue the next morning, You were so proud of each of your children and grand kids all there achievements were greeted with pride, you were always first to help them out when needed your admiration of Michael never faulted during his hard times again you were proud of his achievements, To the Monahan family there is nothing I can say to ease your pain at present, I guess the only peace is that he is reunited with Jeanette his one love, Sorry I cannot be with you today but you are certinally in my toughts. Vin was a great man/friend, and he will certainly be missed. I am sure he will find someone to talk to on the way to heaven
