Oh Rodney. I’m so sad you’re gone. But you’ll never be forgotten.
I loved our fortnightly catch ups. 2 hours often turned into 3 or more!! I enjoyed your input into what Tony Jones was talking about on the radio. Always made me laugh!! You always made time to ask about my family and I loved hearing about yours. You loved your little Gilbert puppy so much too. A true kind hearted man.
To Emma,Steve and Tahnee You are so lucky to have had Rodney as your Dad. What a Champ. XX

Rodney joined our cycling group earlier this year. It was obvious from the start that he was an affable and gentle man, a good conversationalist with a great sense of humour. He was an avid cyclist who fitted easily into our group and he will be sorely missed. We wish we could have shared more stories with you Rodney. Rest in peace.

MOOREY, We first met when we were both four years of age in St Joseph's Church, Pirron Yallock, where I was fondly given my nick name by your Dad, "Dinty" as we darted through the legs of the adults. From the Church to St Joseph's Primary School where we were both captains of the Sports Teams, we shared so many laughs and good times, some of which are still laughed about today.
From Pirron primary we both headed to Trinity College in 1967 in its opening year, where we again had lots of fun, some tough times and that unforgettable School excursion to Red Rock !!
We then played football together for Pirron Yallock where we were both given the opportunity to train at St Kilda under Alan Jeans -
A few years later when you married Denise, I was given the privilege of being your best man, and after many years of sharing good times and some really tough times together we then became work mates at Wettenhalls. And now, after 66 years of you being apart of my life, you are gone.
Rodney you were the fittest 70yr old that I knew. I am saddened & shocked by your death.
To Emma, Steve, Tahnee and families I am so sorry for your loss, what amazing memories you must have of a truly wonderful man ❤️🙏 Your life long mate - Trotter.April 05, 2024 9:08 pm
