  6. I am speaking also on behalf of Jim Swanborough, 1st cousin to Arthur and also best mate. Jim used to call Arthur “Horace” as a nickname. Jim was affectionately known as ‘Swany’. Arthur has always been there for Jim, continuing to call him in the later years when Jim developed dementia. When Jim was put on the phone to Arthur, Arthur had a way of springing Jim back to his normal self. He talked to Arthur like he did years ago. It was majical to hear. Arthur and Dulcie came to visit Jim in the spring of 2019 I think it was. I think Arthur knew it was the last time he would see Jim – I can still see his eyes welling :(((. Very sad and I am so glad I made the effort of going out to lunch with them both and Arthur showing me his beautiful mobile home that he built himself. He was still so fit and healthy..we all walked from one end of the Tumut main street to the other to get to his truck. I will never forget that day. RIP Arthur!!. Keep working on those inventions in the beautiful sunny skies of heaven and we all will catch up with you down the road xxxx Condolences to the family X

A longtime friend & associate of the Britten Family
Arthur was a man who turned his ideas into reality many times
I can still vividly recall the day Arthur showed up at our family dealership in Lake Bolac to proudly show us one of his early production round bale feeders
After some positive discussions with Albert my father & myself
We were most impressed to see what Arthur returned with about a month later
The progression that followed was a great success story
Alot of hard work & dedication by Arthur, Greg & Trevor

  12. Arthur
You took great care of my Grandmother for many years, for that I’ll be eternally grateful. It was always great to chat, debate and share stories. I was hoping I’d get 1 more road trip visit. Alas it wasn’t to be. When I saw you last I remember your request. I/we will my friend.
    Till next we meet.

  13. Sympathy to Dulcie on the loss of her partner and to the Pearce family.
Arthur’s kindness to my family will never be forgotten, we have many fond memories from hay deliveries (still delivering hay, jumping on and off the truck until recent years!) to family events/reunions. It’s a shame there wasn’t more coverage of Arthurs lovely, well lived life and all of the kind things he did – he could have written a book.
He was a good man with a great mind who had such an eventful and colourful 92 years. He lived a life more fulfilling, with more kindness and morals than many preaching Christians, many of us could take a leaf from his book no matter our beliefs.

“Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 6:1) and (Luke 18:9-14).

    Love from the Wood family
