  4. I had the privilege of working alongside Perma during my time at Home Hardware. Coming into my first full-time job, he always looked out for me and taught me so much along the way. He was always generous with his time, willing to help, and someone you could genuinely count on. Whether it was a chat about horse racing or football, Perma always had time for a conversation and a laugh. We shared some great times. Rest easy Perma.

  10. Its just a massive smack in the heart when you hear of an old mate who was such a loved friend back in our early years living in the same neighbourhood and hanging out together as best mates do. I heard from Guy at the footy one day you were doing it tough and had set a course your way to deal with it...never a backward step once the mind made up. So many amazing memories like Visiting Guy playing cricket at Scotch college one sat arvo yelling out drinking longnecks watching him play ....rememberit just like yesterday mate.... was so funny. Sunday church services at the Rats place watching world of sport..trips down the Bay exploring the Otways in the 1100...You always enjoyed having a great time, loyal to your mates and family a true and honest genuine mate. To Johns family I extend my sincere condolences on his passing and to Johns brother Guy, Carmel and family I also extend my deepest sympathy. An absolute great guy gone but never forgotten, the image of your smile is staring at me now Perma... till we meet again much love and respect....RIP old son ... Rod
