Passed away peacefully at Anam Cara House, Colac, on July 11, 2023.
Loved husband and best friend of Barbara (dec). Devoted father and father-in-law of Lee and Gavan (dec) Nicholls, David and Kerri, Wendy and John McCluskey, Jo and Scott Cross. Loved Grandy to Emma and Kyle Maloney, Jessie and Justin, and Kieran; Liam and Niamh; Samuel and Jessie, Holly and Jake Taylor; Bevan and Tamsin.
Resting Peacefully.
Funeral notice
Tuesday July 18, 2023
Requiem Mass for the repose of the soul of Mr. Lawrence Robert Sharp will be offered at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Gellibrand Street, Colac on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 commencing at 11am.
In accordance with Lawrie’s wishes, a private cremation will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Anam Cara House. Envelopes will be available at the Church.

Our condolences to all Lawrie's family of whom he was deeply proud. He and Barb were our annual and good hearted neighbours for the Port Fairy Folk Festival. We shared stories, favourite acts, and delighted in our catch-ups. His cheerfulness and enthusiasm was always contagious, often declaring that it didn't matter who or what he saw, they were all enjoyable. I can see them both now, siloquetted by forever stagelights, sitting in their festival chairs, eagerly waiting for the next act, just thrilled to be together again. Good on you Lawrie - yours was a life well lived, and loved.

Farewell to a wonderful gentleman. A true gentleman.
We will always cherish the wonderful memories we share of catching up during caravan trips around Australia; Barb and Lawrie visiting us during their annual pilgrimage to the Mildura Country Music Festival; our visits to Colac and, of course, the many telephone discussions about our beloved Saints. We will keep cheering for you Lawrie- and hopefully one day soon they will get it right.
