Wednesday April 12, 2023
The Funeral of Mrs. Rosemary Barbara Skinner will be held in the Chapel at Wesley Place, 15 Skene Street, Colac on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 commencing at 2.00 pm.
The Funeral will leave the Chapel at the conclusion of the service for the Colac Lawn Cemetery.

It was with heavy hearts today that we honoured, farewelled and celebrated the life and love of our dear friend and member, Rosemary. Her contribution as a former president and committee member, her zest for life and most of all, the warmth of her friendship will never be forgotten. We will miss your beautiful presence. I remember how welcoming Rosemary was when I joined Probus. She was known for her warm friendship, sense of humour and care for others. Her absence will be felt by all. Heartfelt sympathy to Roland and family.

We have fun memories of Rosie on our Trucking to Alice adventure.
Entry and exit to the basket on our hot air balloon ride was a comedy scene.
Sipping sparkling after the landing at 6am was just one of the joys we shared.

Rosie, I will remember you for the so many fun filled holidays on your farm, and at Port Fairy. Your generous spirit, your warm and welcoming nature, you were a country lady through and through. You will always be famous for telling the most side splitting jokes in the Port Fairy camp, when everyone was playing card games like 500, by camp light, sharing chianti, beers and corio whiskey and coke, after all us kids were sent to bed. That Port Fairy laughter is like music ringing in my ears. Rest in peace. You will forever be missed.

Oh my....what a classy lady she was. Warm, welcoming with a wicked sense of humour. And easily the BEST cook there ever was. If anyone mentioned her it was always peppered with comments on her prowess in the kitchen. I remember with great fondness many many holidays being spoiled by her. Rosie you were a role model to me as a young girl for your strength, love and strong sense of family. A beautiful, capable and resilient woman. Rest in peace. You will be dearly dearly missed.

Family was Rosemary's world, she loved cooking and caring for everyone.
