Loving husband to Leanne “Thommo”. Much loved Dad to Jack and Dylan.
Son of Alan and Phyllis (both dec). Brother and brother-in-law to Mick and Karen, Anthony and Mauz, Majella and Mick, and Angela.

Tuesday May 02, 2023
The Funeral of Mr Shane "Norm" Slater will be held at St. Mary's Church, Gellibrand Street, Colac on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 commencing at 1:30 p.m.
In accordance with family wishes, Norm will be Privately cremated.

Today we farewell Shane and celebrate his life.
We loved the way that he made everyone smile and laugh whoever crossed his path, with his wicked sense of humour.
He had a kind heart and would do anything for anyone.
We will miss Shane and his banter.

Thinking of you Leanne, Jack and Dylan of the sad passing of Normie. We were very privileged as a family to have had the chance to spend numerous occasions with Norm. To football on a Saturday at South and then Colac, enjoying afl grand final days together and also visiting the Slater gang at Apollo Bay. We will cherish those memories the most. Rest easy norm, thanks for all the great memories we got to share.. the fishing trips, the times at work or everytime there was something happening you were always there with bells on! There was never a dull moment with you around that’s for sure, I could write a book with all the funny and dumb stuff we did but I wouldn’t change it for the world I loved every minute. Our hearts are hurting, and we are so sorry for your loss. Sometimes in life we are blessed with the opportunity to meet a rare soul who fills us with laughter and light, every single time our paths cross. That was Normie. We will miss his sense of humour and the friendship he extended to everyone (except those hoons on Whiting Street!)
