Passed away peacefully at Barongarook Gardens Aged Care with family by her side, aged 98 years. Loving wife of John James (dec). Loving mother and mother in-law of Vivien and Robert Wylie, Jackie and Anthony Zappelli. Adored Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Great-Great-Grandmother.

Thank you to the staff at Barongarook Gardens for the wonderful care shown to mum for the last 7 years.

1. Joan Smith had many aliases, Mrs Smith, Joan, Mum, Gran and Great Gran- whatever alias Joan Smith was she had a remarkable presence and was a woman who always presented with such tenaciousness and English Grit.
   The heavens above are most blessed to receive such a dignified soul and we can smile at the thought of her being in command at her new place of rest .
