Special memories of many lovely weekends spent with Genevieve and Michael in Colac over the last 12 years.
Trips to Big Hill, counter lunches in country pubs, drives to Lorne and Apollo Bay, visits to Vin’s in Coragulac and of course the drive past Genevieve’s old childhood home.
Genevieve always made sure my electric blanket was on and Michael was cooking something special.
Late night chats with many cups of tea and special treats.
These times i will remember and treasure always.

I am very saddened to hear of the passing of Genevieve as we holiday here in WA.
I have very fond memories of daily boarding the same ‘Workers Bus’ from Warrion to Colac and being in awe of how meticulously groomed and beautiful Genevieve presented in her white pharmacy uniform.
Genevieve was a very gentle and sweet soul and I felt honoured to have known her during these earlier years in the 1960’s and onwards.
My deepest condolences are extended to Michael and family and the extended Malone family as you all mourn the loss of your beautiful lady.
Sending love and virtual hugs to Michael.

It was with much sadness to hear of Genevieve’s passing. I worked with Gen for nearly three decades and looking back consider it a privilege to have known her. She had strong opinions but never forced them on anybody, and had a gentle way of dealing with patients, and us.
Genevieve had two major strengths, the wisdom of Solomon, and the patience of Job both sorely needed when controlling Phil and I, and our practical jokes. I don’t remember a cross word or an argument in that Department, it was a happy place.
Commiserations Michael, Jacinta and Jeremy for the loss of Genevieve, a gracious lady.
We are so sorry Michael.

So sad to hear of the passing of Genevieve. A dear friend, especially from her days in X-ray, across the hall from the main office, in the old Colac Hospital. Those were the days. We had so much fun and a little bit of mischief, as well. Michael, you meant so much to her, and Jacinta and Jeremy, I can remember you as little tackers. I’ll never forget, trying to teach your Mum to sew, many years ago when you were young children. You know, there are some people you can never teach to sew, I ended up saying in the end. It was our little joke, and I often still quote it today.
Genevieve didn’t need to sew, she was so good at many other things. Especially a wife and a mother.
Genevieve was a lovely friend to all of us Hospital Crew.
Treasured memories. -
Very sad to hear this news. Gen and I had some wonderful times in Radiology at Colac Hospital. What a delightful individual with a wicked sense of humour
My sincere condolences to all the family
