Passed away at home on Sunday, May 23, 2021 aged 93 years.
Dearly loved wife of Darkie (dec).
Cherished mother of Wayne and Ros (dec); and mother-in-law of Christine.
Loving Nanna to her 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Funeral Notice

Service: Friday June 11, 2021

Due to COVID Safe attendance restrictions, a Private Funeral will be held for Mavis.

The Funeral will be live streamed on Friday, June 11, 2021 commencing at 1:30 p.m.

    Your mum, Aunty Mavis, was a special member of our family. She will be sadly missed by us all, especially her sister’s Jean, Dot, brothers Don, and Colin and sister in law’s and brother in law.
    Rest in peace with your Darkie, and your only daughter Ros. You stayed in your home until the end.

  6. Aunty Mavis, so dearly missed. I will be so lost without our chats and laughter together. So cheeky and stubborn, but you and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
    Your love for you family was immeasurable, you would be the person to keep me informed of what was going on.
    You were tired and ready to go to meet Uncle Darkie and Ros.
    May God bless you as your time on earth was well lived.
    My sorrow is also for your loving family as I know you played a pivotal role in each of their lives.
    To Wayne, Chris, Adam, Kellie Kane and partners, Naomi, Justin,Amelia, Henry Jarrod, Nikki, Oliver and all her beautiful Great grandchildren may you remember her with love and affection.

    Aunty Mavis we will miss your cheeky and witty and stubborn ways but know now you are at peace with your beloved Darky and Daughter Roslyn. I will always remember the happy and fun times we spent with your family and the Smith family. Until we meet again it’s bye for now. Remember we have a plot across from Darky and you so we will be keeping an eye on you in the future. Sorry we can’t be there in these trying times so sending our love to Wayne, Christine, Naomi, Jason and their families and the Smith Family. We will miss our visits to Aunty Mavis’s home and the warm and cheeky welcome we would recieve. We will remember the pride she took in her emaculate garden and those lengthy chats that was always accompanied by a cuppa and cakes and a catch up on the family news and events.
