Passed away peacefully with family surrounding her.
Dearly loved wife of Brian. Loved mother and mother in-law of Pauline and Stephen, Jenny and Ted (dec) and Connie and Phil. Adored Nanny of Jamie, Michael, Kurtise; Neka; and Emalee and Great Nanny of John.
Loved always, Rest in Peace.
Funeral notice
Tuesday July 19, 2022
The Funeral of Mrs. Dorothy May “Dot” Trickey will be held in the Chapel at Wesley Place, 15 Skene Street, Colac, on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 commencing at 11.00 a.m.
The Funeral will leave the Chapel at the conclusion of the service for the Colac Lawn Cemetery.

I don’t have a funny story to tell or an incident to recall, I just want to say thank you. Thank you for over 40 years of knowing the door was always open for me and that I was always welcomed.
From Mingawalla, Violetbanks, Beeac and the Esplanade, I was not just one of the kids friends, I always had a place as the 4th daughter.
Thank you for introducing me to country music, to John Wayne and old cowboy movies ( they always seemed to be playing at Mingawalla)
Thank you for allowing me a second home with comfort and ease...& where I didn’t get yelled at... even when Con and I came home with our first tattoos!
You’ve left behind 3 fantastic daughter’s and a devoted husband. Things will never be the same.
But now looking over them from a distance and quietly walking beside them, I believe the little reminders you’ll scatter everywhere will see them through each day.

Dot tricky what a truly icon we have lost today. A mother who adored her family, a hard working farmer that worked long hours and loved her animals but most of all the amazing Aussie spirit of helping others in need which I are so great full of your generosity, you took me in when I needed to finish my school year and you became my adopted mum the months you looked after me and included me in your family will be my best treasured memories. You will always be in my heart.

I have great childhood memories of spending time on the farm at Glenaire (and of Dots voice yelling out to us kids from the main house on the hill to come up for dinner!).

Our condolences to Brian and family of the sad passing of Dot. So pleased I got to spend time with her on my last visit to Melbourne, and was so looking forward to another catch up in November.
