Tributes
Leave a tributeLiebe Tante Luise, meine australische Oma,
Ich vermisse dich sehr!
I have many special memories of you for which I am thankful.
I am thankful for the many meals shared and enjoyed.
I am thankful for you teaching me to crochet.
I am thankful for the school holidays Sophie and I spent with you and Onkel Karl on the farm.
I am thankful for the special friendship you shared with my Oma Ruth. I love the story of when you both hitched up your skirts to climb in through a bedroom window when you locked yourselves out of our house.
I’m thankful for dancing with you at our wedding.
These memories and experiences and so many more are part of me and will continue to be a part of my family.
We love you!

Mum you were the greatest, always busy with your vegetable garden, flower garden, craft work and cooking. But you always had lots of time spare for love.
Love you forever

Liebe Wagners,
Danke meine liebe Luise.
Euch allen Wagners mein herzliches Beileid von meiner ganzen Familie.
Ebenfalls von Hedwig Docke sehr herzliche Grüße. Leider kann sie nicht mehr selber schreiben.

Auntie Luise we will miss your passion for life and your really beautiful way of greeting and including us. School holidays at the farm were always a treat where we got to enjoy games, great food and never got in trouble, even when we flooded and abandoned the car in the middle of the paddock! The greatest Auntie. Never to be forgotten. XX Sonia, Phil, Nai, Cas & Tory XX00

I met Luise (and Anna) for the first time in 1973 at Anna's 21st in the Red Hill Hall. From then until our last time together, at her 90th birthday celebration, Luise was forever such a welcoming and warm person and always so resourceful and resilient (her veggie garden during not so easy times in the mid-70s dairy industry was always a joy to behold).
My love to you all - Irene, Marg, Erich, Heinz, Wolfie and Paul and all your partner's, children and grandchildren - as you gradually adjust to life without the active presence of your wonderful Mum and Oma.
Best wishes .. DavidFebruary 04, 2022 12:21 pm
Our thoughts are with you Marg, your family and the extended Wagner Family. Your mum was such a beautiful, talented lady and always welcoming. You have been fortunate to have her with you for so long. Thinking of all of you today.

Extraordinarily creative and resourceful Luise (Nanna) was ever active with her hobbies and a linch pin for her family. It will be with great sadness she will be remembered and missed.

We remember Tante Luise with love and gratitude. Our thoughts are with all our Wagner cousins, who have had to say good bye to a loving and special Mum and Nan. Our love goes to you all, Renate & Tony.

These creations were sold at craft stalls which raised funds for the Templer and Tabluam Homes for the Aged. She is remembered with gratitude and love.

Dorle Schmid

How fortunate we were to share the last two weeks of your life with you, Mum.
Here in Tatong you knitted 3 pairs of socks (and mended a pair), crocheted a beautiful dish cloth, read a long novel, enjoyed each of your great granddaughters for 2 sleepovers, wandered around our home and garden and explored the farm in the Landcruiser with Rob. You went to Wangaratta with us to have afternoon tea at Emma and Ben's, much to Cassie and Natalie's delight, and enjoyed a return visit from that little family.
In the evenings we sometimes played cards and on your last night here you chose to play 'May I' and eat dark chocolate!! You won the game!
Your return to Heytesbury Lodge with Rob was so happy. Great holiday, wonderful day with your son-in-law and safely 'home' again. As per usual you and I said good night to each other on the phone at 7.30.
Rob and I have so very much to be grateful for.
Lovingly, Irene and RobFebruary 02, 2022 9:37 pm

Tante Luise, so many great and loving memories that I will always cherish. You endured and lost so much early in life, rebuilding in Australia, but never complained, just moved forward, and enjoyed life. A lesson for us all. School holidays and an extended stay down at the farm was always something I looked forward to and the nights playing board games. Even with all the work during the day, you always found the time for us, and not to mention energy to spin wool for hours in the ‘spare’ hours.
My personal journey has taken me to New York City and the corporate world, but you often come to my thoughts particularly when the topic of improving diversity and inclusion in the workplace and in empowering women in leadership. While you were never in 'corporate America', when we speak about role models, I always think about my Tante Luise and your inner strength, standing up for herself, and most importantly you were always there for everyone, always took the time to pull me aside and ask how I was doing, such a strong and loving lady, with true leadership, always there for us all with guidance and love, such a great role model for us all.
Rest in Peace. Much love, Jason, Jacky, Jeb and Jemima.
