  6. To Brenda, Renee and family, soo sad to hear the passing of Webby. He gave me soo much help when I was painting my house and then to find out that his daughter was a best friend of my niece and then realise she was a Webb too. Thanks for letting me know that Brenda. Webby was just soo cheerful even when he was soo sick. Last time I saw him he was heading into the Bottle Shop…enjoy that Painters Pot in heaven.

So sorry to hear that Webby has died.
Webby was just a great bloke. He shared his extensive knowledge about things in general, willingly. His professional knowledge was absolutely invaluable to me.
He introduced me to a lot of music that I would never known and appreciated.
Webby was a no bullshit bloke. He said it like it needed to said.
A lot of people are going to miss him
    Kind regards

  16. Alan.
You and Brenda took me in every school holidays through my teenage years.
I have so many wonderful memories in your house.
You put up with our terrible taste in music, copious amounts of glitter and demands to drive us around in your special red car.
I’ll never forget Pancake Tuesday, the best bacon I’ll ever have and that feeling of always being welcome. No matter when it was. You took me in and treated me like family. I will be forever grateful for that.
Much love and deepest condolences to your family.
    Love always
    Jess

  17. So deeply sorry for your loss Brenda. I only found out tonight (12/7) on the web of Alans’ passing. Very fond memories of Alan and his expert assistance with my theatre project. Loved our chats about music, cars etc. etc. Will miss exchanging greetings with waves and a toot from his distinctive yellow Commodore on my visits to Colac.
Alan was the epitome of positiveness despite his huge medical challenges; an absolute inspiration! RIP mate, will remember you with great fondness.
Sincerest condolences to Brenda and Family.

  20. Great memories from when you lived and worked in St Albans, Melbourne 50 years ago. You taught me how to drive in your Holden 253 V8, you got us into heaps of strife on our Saturday nights out in St Kilda,, we laughed, we drank, we always somehow got home safe and sound, more through good luck than good management!
50 years later I heard the name Beeac mentioned and immediately remembered that was where you came from. Unfortunately my search on line led me to this site.
Alan, we shared many a laugh and had great fun, after all these years I remember it like it was yesterday. On reading the tributes to you it sounds like you hadn’t changed one iota in 50 years. Sleep well mate.
    Tony Frain. St Albans.
