Tributes
Leave a tributeI am so terribly upset to read this ... My time with Stewart as a 'mate' was possibly 18 months or so ... as a radio announcer with 3CS - Colac.
Sadly ... in my business you moved radio stations to pick up different techniques ... then another step forward and up.
The 3CS was a pretty ordinary country station ... but I met Steward ... he was in the technical side as a junior making sure the station was 'on air' He introduced me to many 'local characters' ... it was 18 months of good friendship ... and a few drinks after work most afternoons. With the terrible 'fires encompassing the Otways' I thought I should try to make contact ... as Stewart was 4 years younger than I. To say I was shocked to read this ... has really hit me hard! I shall raise a glass or three to Stewart later today ... in such fond memory of a wonderful young smiling innocent chap who opened up his life to me ... and invited me into his parents home ... a milk farm so many times ... so many years ago ...
The whole family were always so warm and inviting ... I feel so guilty now as I sit here ... as I moved on and only ever returned once to say 'hello' again. It is a long time ago ... possibly later 1970's ...
"I WILL NEVER FORGET YOU STEWART"
I will not forget as February 10 ... it is my own older brothers birthday ...
SORRY ... I feel I let you down in not staying in touch!

We missed your humour when you left Telstra and even more so now you're gone but you won't be forgotten by the Telstra Mobiles Site Acquisition and Radio Engineering team members you shared office space with for many years when you actually turned up at the office as you always seemed to find an excuse to be out and about.
