On April 13th 2022 at Colac. Dearly loved wife of Neil. A much loved Aunt, Great Aunt and Great Great Aunt of all of her nieces and nephews.

Funeral notice
Tuesday April 19, 2022
Requiem Mass for the repose of the soul of Mrs Maureen Patricia Young will be offered at St Mary's Catholic Church, Gellibrand Street, Colac on Tuesday (19th April, 2022) at 1.30 p.m. The Funeral will leave the Church at the conclusion of Mass for the Colac Lawn Cemetery.

The day God stopped all your pain and suffering and took you home. It ripped my heart out of my chest. I don’t know why life is so cruel, but there must be a reason. You were my wife, my mate , my friend for nearly 50 years.
For any problem we had you were always able to find a solution. You were always ready to jump in and help anyone no matter their problem. For being my wife thank you, for tolerating my mood swings thank you, when I was struggling you always lifted me up. Thank you for tending our home for which I probably never really appreciated. Thank you .
Thankfully all the pain and suffering you endured during the last eight months without complaint is all gone. May you always be safe in the arms of God, may you never suffer pain like you did again.
May you find peace being with others of your family especially Michael whom you missed so much and often spoke of him .
You loved me dearly and I probably never gave you the same love in return.
My darling I don’t know how without you by my side I can ever be happy again. But I will try as you truly meant so much to me.
I must let you go to the Lord. I hope you are finally at peace.

The day you left us our eyes felt full of dust. You grew your angel wings and softly left us
We will think of you in silence,
We will often speak your name.
Not a day will go by that we don’t feel the pain.We are so lucky to have the time we had with you. We will miss our visits our phone calls and humorous messages .
Even those that weren’t meant for us .We loved your quick wit , your cheeky smile , your sense of humour and your love for life
We will be lost without you , not sure how we will cope . We want this all to be a dream we can awoke.
We have to find peace that now you are free of pain , day by day might ease a little , but will never be the same.Your memory is a keepsake,

Rest peacefully now Maurs, the suffering is over! A wonderful lady always with a smile and her little chuckle even when we last spoke only a week or two ago! Maurs had always been supportive & welcoming to me and she lives on in the memory of her kindness. Sympathies to you Neil, and to the extended family. She will be missed.

Deepest sympathy Neil on the very sad passing of your dear Maureen. Thank you for giving our aunty the most wonderful life Neil. Thanks Tracey for your loving care of Maureen also, especially in those last hours. You also gave her such comfort.
Maurs was respected by all her nieces and nephews and our families for her caring, kind, generous nature. She loved all of us and us in return.
We are going to miss you terribly Maurs, but I am consoled knowing you are with my dad and all your family gone before you. They will welcome you home.
