With a broken heart, I have to announce that Helen, my wife, lifetime partner and best friend has passed away. After a brave courageous battle with illness, Helen is now at peace. A wonderful cat mother to all her many cats over the years.

Such a beautiful lady with a heart of gold who would do anything to help other people before herself. Thinking of our laughs together and always asking how was the family going. Helen you always had the most beautiful smile on your beautiful face when client s came into the Otway Medical Clinic and we will always remember you within our hearts. Thinking of you Neil and sending you all our special love your way and in hope you will find your way through this very hard times. With our Heartfelt Sympathy to you during this very sad time. Dad passed on the news last night and I was very sad to hear of your passing. You were such a wonderful friend to my mum (Nancie) and I remember your beautiful smile and a lovely gentle person from when we were growing up in Colac/Nalangil. How very sad I was to hear of Helen’s passing
I hold great memories of living down the road from Helen in Beeac when we were children growing up and then able to reconnect again many years later when I would see her at her work.

Neil, what can we say to comfort you in the loss of your much loved Helen, your lifetime partner. Your care and attention to her over her illnesses, has been amazing.
Helen was gentle and caring, always going along with everyone, never making demands. How lucky were we all, to call you our work colleague.

Her pleasures were few, mostly loving her cat’s unconditionally, watching crime movies and reading her hundreds of books.

Our heartfelt condolences to Neil - as he has lost his true companion.
Helen was a kind and gentle soul and she faced life, and later her illness, with remarkable grace and courage. Even when times were difficult, she still found ways to ask how others were doing.
She loved the simple pleasures in life: a good cup of tea, a new crime novel or TV series, feeding the native birds in her garden and the quiet companionship of her beloved cats.
