Loved wife of Barry (dec). Treasured mum and mother-in-law of Barry and Amanda, Mark (dec), Suzie, Tania, Bron and Chris McGuane. Adored nanny of Reannen and Rowan, Imogen, Gemma, Lucas, Stella and Harrison.
Daughter of Jack and Molly Shaw (both dec). Loving sister of Joy Foreman (dec), Mal Hall and Jan McElroy-Keast.
Now re-united with Dad and Mark.

Get directionsThe Funeral of Mrs. Margaret June Castle will be held in the Chapel at Wesley Place, 15 Skene Street, Colac on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 commencing at 11am.
The Funeral will leave the Chapel at the conclusion of the service for the Colac Lawn Cemetery.
For those who are unable to attend, CLICK HERE to view the live-stream.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Anam Cara House Colac would be greatly appreciated by the family. Envelopes will be available at the service.

Margaret,
Today we say goodbye to a truly remarkable woman whose faith, love, and kindness has touched so many lives. Your unwavering trust in God has been a source of strength and inspiration, showing us what it means to live with grace, compassion, and hope.
You were Dad's best friend through life's joys and challenges and sat by his side to the very end. You were a beautiful example of love, loyalty, and what true friendship is. The bond you shared is something we always admired.
To us, you were a motherly figure, Tam, PJ and I always knew you were available with open arms, a listening ear, wise advice, and unconditional love. You stood next to us during our difficult moments, offering comfort, encouragement and endless support.
Your selflessness, generosity, and caring heart shaped our lives in countless ways. We are deeply grateful for every hug, every prayer, every word of wisdom, and every act of love you've shared.
Thank you for being such an extraordinary woman and an irreplaceable part of our lives. We love you dearly and are forever thankful for you.

Wonderful memories of our childhood in Swan Marsh ,so many happy times spent at your family home and our activities throughout our lives and you playing your special songs going through the house which made us feel so welcome and continued friendships with Barry and your family growing up :

So very sad to hear such sad news,
Even though I had not seen you in a long time it did not matter as you will always be a strong presence in my heart.
You and Barry were a constant presence in our lives when we were growing up. A great friend to mum. And a surrogate aunt to us .
I will never forget your letters phone calls and your visit to me in NSW when Peter was sick and when he died. You have no ideas how much you helped me to continue on. I needed you and you were there.

Margaret the memories I have. Well can't remember to much about pombo days. But can remember visting with mum & dad once you moved Geelong. Us girls running around annoy Bron probably. In late year once us kids got older we didn't have much contact. But every time you seen me you where always up for chat. Im specially going miss your Facebook comments and messages. Specially on Madison birthday you always messaged to check in on me.

What can i say!
There is so much Margaret did for our family and more importantly for me during very dark periods.
I owe Margaret so much for her positivity and compassion.
May you be safe in the arms of jesus, reunited with all those who have gone before her.To all Margaret's family, take time to reflect on the deeds that your mother has done. Cherish those hugs, phone calls emails and all else she gave.
